Tatyana Nazarenko (born in 1944, Moscow)

From 1955 to 1962, she studied at the Moscow Secondary Art School (MSHS) affiliated with the Moscow State Art Institute (MSAI) named after V. I. Surikov. From 1962 to 1968, she continued her education at the MSAI named after V. I. Surikov, in the studios of professors A. M. Gritsai and D. D. Zhilinsky. From 1969 to 1972, she worked in the studio of the USSR Academy of Arts under the guidance of G. M. Korzhev.

1969 — Admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR.
1972 — Awarded the title of laureate of the Moscow Komsomol Prize for the painting "The Execution of the Narodnaya Volya Members."
1976 — First prize at the International Exhibition in Sofia, Bulgaria.
1978 — Creative trip to the International School of Arts, Voss, Norway.
1987 — Silver Medal of the USSR Academy of Arts.
1987 — First solo exhibitions in Kyiv, Odessa, and Lviv.
1987 — First solo exhibition abroad, Leverkusen, Germany.
1988 — Invited by Peter Ludwig to participate in the "Russian Art" exhibition in Cologne.
1988 — Participation in the Sotheby’s auction in Moscow.
1989 — First solo exhibition in Moscow at the Central House of Artists (CDH).
1989 — First creative trip to New York.
1993 — Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation for the exhibition "Tatiana's Day" at the State Tretyakov Gallery.
1998 — Elected as a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, and in 2001, as a full member (academician). Since 2001, she has been a member of the presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts.
1999−2016 — Professor and head of the studio at the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov.
1999 — Laureate of the Moscow Government Prize.
2003 — Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
2004 — Awarded the Honorary Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts.
2008 — Laureate of the independent "TRIUMPH" Prize.
