Chen Wei

Chen Wei was born in Guangxi Province and currently resides in Beijing as a professional artist. He holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and is currently pursuing postdoctoral studies specializing in landscape painting under the guidance of Professors Xu Ting and Liu Rong. Presently, he serves as the Director of the Guangxi Young Artists Association and the Vice President of the Yu Lin Academy of Painting and Calligraphy. His works have been sold at auctions held by prestigious organizations such as Guardian and Poly.

He has conducted solo exhibitions and participated in professional exhibitions both nationally and internationally, with his works included in the collections of CCTV, Hainan TV, the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Dahua Bank, Konka Group, Taizhou Think Tank, and other significant institutions. In 2023, he was invited by the director of the film "The Story of the Rose," and approximately 40 of his works were utilized as props. Chen Wei also appeared in a television drama as an independent artist. In the same year, his thesis work "Dragon's Thunder" received the highest award for outstanding graduate works at the master’s degree exhibition at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2024, he was awarded the Silver Medal at the UOB Ink Painting Art of the Year Award.
